Hello everyone,

We wanted to update you on our last fundraising event that we had on March 1oth.  It was our 2nd Annual Wine Tasting and it was a great success thanks to our generous sponsors and all of our guests. We were able to raise close to $7000 for Ignite A Dream. All the funds raised will go towards continuing and expanding our EACPA and UT Elementary programs as well as adding additional school in the fall. We will keep you updated on our new project developments.

The event was very fun, accompanied with amazing food, wine, music entertainment  and great people to mingle and network with. We are really looking forward to our 3rd year event and hoping to see all of you there again.

Thank you for your support!

You can see event pictures right here:

With a generous support of our donors, we have been able to hand out brand new soccer cleats to our UT Elementary students. It was a great day for all of us!

Hello everyone,

Ignite A Dream’s soccer team had their first field trip last friday! We took them to Soccer Zone indoor facility where they had 1.5 hour of practice and 30 min of scrimmaging each other at their indoor soccer field. It was an absolutely amazing experience for the kiddos, since most of them have never even seen an actual soccer field, much less got to practice and compete on one. They had a lot of fun and learned quite a few tricks from their coaches!

We would like to thank Soccer Zone (Jimmy and Sarah especially) for giving our students this wonedrful experiance that will stay with them for the rest of their lives.

Here are also some pictures from our trip, so take a look

Ignite A Dream is proud to announce we have partnered with Southwest Key Organization to implement both of our soccer and tennis programs  in their charter class of a brand new East Austin College Preparatory  Academy. Their school previously had no  athletic opportunities to provide to their very motivated and dedicated  students. We have been extremely excited and honored to bring them  soccer and tennis programs, that will impact around 40 to 50 students.

Take a look at our short video that we have taken last week on one of our tennis practices, we hope you enjoy it!

Hello everyone,

We are happy to report that we had a great fundraising event on March 4th, 2010. We partnered with Right Course, another wonderful non profit organization, and put on a wine tasting event.  Our venue was at a beautiful Caswell house, downtown Austin, and we served different types of wines, selected by one of our own member of the Board of Directors, Tom Wilkinson. We had great attendance and are looking forward t having the event next year as well!

We all had a great time and were able to raise sufficent funds to continue both of our soccer and tennis programs at EACPA (East Austin College Preparatory Academy)

Hello everyone,

Here are some pictures that we took during our volunteer time at Camp Glimmer. We all had a wonderful time hanging out with the kiddos and are hoping to do it again this year.

Camp Glimmer gives hundreds of children an opportunity to experience the joys of a first class summer camp. They get to play tennis, basketball, volleyball and street hockey as well as go on nature hikes and day-trips to places like Sea World, Volente Beach and Fiesta Texas.
